How to compare images

Upload your original and revised image. In Highlight mode the changed pixels are painted in your chosen colour, with a similarity score summarising how close the two images are.

Switch modes to see the comparison differently: Slider drags a divider across the two images, Fade cross-fades between them, and Blend subtracts one from the other so identical pixels go black and any change lights up. Details compares dimensions, file size and EXIF metadata side by side.

Useful for spotting UI regressions between two screenshots, checking whether a re-exported image is pixel-identical to the original, or comparing two photos or scans at a glance.

Which formats are supported? — Any format your browser can display — PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, AVIF and BMP — plus TIFF, HEIC, PSD and most camera RAW formats, converted automatically.

Do the images need to be the same size? — No — with "Resize to same size" on, the second image is scaled to the first before comparing. Turn it off to compare at original size.

Are my images uploaded anywhere? — No. Comparison runs entirely in your browser; the images never leave your device unless you choose to save a comparison online.
